Today we announced the release date and opened pre-orders for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on the Microsoft Store and Steam! • Really wish age of empires 2 was on xbox one. You would think the 'worlds most powerful console' would be able to handle a 20 year old game. It really is disappointing to hear all these cool announcements but know i will never be able to play them.

  • You didn't pay the developer, you payed a hacker presumably because you either can't afford, or you don't think the game is worth the real price. I don't know what you expect exactly. You can't really file a complaint for a stolen game.

Good news for Age of Empires fan, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is launching today on Steam for $19.99 with support for crossplay with the Microsoft Store version released last year. The game is also available today Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Indeed, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is available to pre-order on both the Microsoft Store and Steam todaywith a $19.99 launch price. The game will be released on November 14, and it will be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on day one. Age of Empires II: DE will also support crossplay between Windows 10 and Steam, just like Age of Empires: DE.
